We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced Programme Delivery Manager to lead the effective design and delivery of the non-ERP work packages across our Mainstay digital transformation programme, ensuring that it is managed effectively in accordance with the defined methodology and quality expected by the RNLI.

The role 

This is a pivotal role, responsible for delivering the non-ERP projects within the Mainstay programme, which is transforming the way the RNLI operates through a combination of business change and digital enhancement. 

Reporting to the Programme Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of the work, combining leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills to drive progress and deliver within agreed parameters to time, cost and quality, ensuring the outcomes support the achievement of the RNLI’s annual goals, objectives and strategic ambition through the development and delivery of the work.

About you 

We are looking for someone who is a natural leader and a skilled communicator, with the ability to engage with all levels of an organisation, including a programme team of staff and/or volunteers, as well as senior and external stakeholders, ensuring they are committed, motivated and work effectively together to deliver the functional strategy and plans.

You should have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve project issues and mitigate risks and make the appropriate recommendations in order to maximise the benefit of the work undertaken.

Essential Experience  

  • Significant practical experience delivering a number of large cross function organisational programmes.
  • Significant Programme leadership skills and experience in driving cross organisation improvement and delivering results against clear and measurable targets and standards.
  • Substantial experience of leading, managing, developing and/or motivating multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating across a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of change leadership and delivering programmes / projects across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience influencing and negotiating at the highest level.
  • Substantial experiencing in managing performance against budgets, targets and objectives defined by programme and organisational strategies and policies.
