We are currently looking for a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our Applications and Governance team. The role contributes to saving lives at sea by maintaining and optimising our Business Systems so they continue to make our processes easier and cost effective, enabling our staff and volunteers to concentrate on the processes that enable us to operate our lifesaving and water safety services.

Your role 

The RNLI is undertaking a programme of work to upgrade its Microsoft AX Dynamics ERP estate to a modern technology landscape, with Microsoft Dynamics D365 at its core.  We are seeking someone to lead an Applications Support team that will provide second / third line support for our SaaS Solutions, and help us build a centre of excellence to troubleshoot issues and drive value from our applications.   

Ongoing updates and support will still be required to our legacy business systems during that period, including AX2012, and we are also needing  support to keep our systems fit for purpose during this transition.  This role is a technical leader who manages the Business Applications team, delivering support and solutions to assigned business areas across our technology estate. It will involve working with partners and internal customers to troubleshoot applications and software as well as design and deliver in-house end-user guidance and changes to enable transition to the new landscape. 

About you 

We are looking for someone who is highly collaborative and enjoys working with the wider team, is technically excellent and has good knowledge of business processes applicable to ERP systems, and is motivated to share their knowledge, as well as being detail orientated and risk averse. 

To be considered as our new Lead Business Systems Analyst you will need: 

  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with supporting enterprise and desktop applications, ideally including one or more of the following: Microsoft D365, AX 2012, Workday HR, Asset Management Software, Beacon CRM 
  • Desirable: SharePoint  and DocuSign configuration and administration, Security administration for Opas, D365 CRM, FirstClass, Opera, NG 
  • Working with and an understanding of 3rd Party Application Integrations / Interfaces and 3rd Party suppliers 
  • Proven significant experience with troubleshooting methodologies, and issue resolution techniques. 
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation. 
  • The ability to lead and develop a team of technical specialists while working collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders.
