Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. We are currently recruiting for a Retail & Ecommerce Merchandiser to join our Retail Product Team.

Responsible for the insightful analysis of sales data and trends to inform current and future retail strategy, the role is key in delivering optimum performance of our products so that we can maximise sales through all our channels. Defining and implementing the stock management strategy, analysing sales, income and demand plans, together with supplier lead times and costs to determine the optimum stock and re-order levels for retail shops, fundraising branches and ecommerce is essential. Strong financial and analytical skills, paired with product empathy, are a must. This is important not only because our products help communicate the work of the RNLI, but 100% of profit is returned to the organisation to help fund its lifesaving work.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in retail merchandising, ideally across a fast-moving multi- channel business, with a thorough understanding of best practice methods in stock and supply chain management.

A confident and knowledgeable user of AX Dynamics or similar stock management systems, the experience and ability to lead the implementation and integration of a new EPoS system to maximise the functionality of AX, would be an advantage.

If you consider yourself to be someone who is an articulate and confident strategist and team leader, who enjoys building influential relationships with a wide variety of people, a ‘go-to’ person on all aspects of stock and sales performance and analysis, then please apply.

Diversity at the RNLI

Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards Our Vision: To save Every One.

If you are looking for a flexible working arrangement, please include in your personal statement what your preferred working arrangements would be.
