We are looking for a Product Owner (Finance & Risk) to ensure the RNLI is supported by an efficient cloud-based system capability, delivering maximum value to stakeholders by ensuring our systems support us to meet our organisational goals.

About the role 

In this exciting new role you will: 

  • Lead the adoption, optimisation and continuous improvement of relevant software (currently predominantly Microsoft Dynamics365), ensuring that the system aligns with user needs, enhances our efficiency, and drives digital transformation.  
  • Have technical ownership and give BAU support, leading the overall configuration and roadmap that allows proactive development as well as nurturing usage and best practice across the organisation.  
  • Understand and manage our internal customers and stakeholders, empowering functional stakeholders to make non-consequential system change, analysing and delivery configuration changes, and managing the delivery of complex change via a 3rd party supplier.  
  • Working in partnership with the wider team and the functional lead(s), this role will also be required to have an in-depth understanding of the system integrations and the data stored within the product and be comfortable undertaking investigation and integration of this data, identifying opportunities to proactively improve the data quality and acting as the key liaison between functional stakeholders and technical teams. 

About you 

Our ideal candidate for the role of Product Owner (Finance and Risk) will have: 

  • Experience in managing internal and external suppliers or vendors 
  • Excellent communication, team building and negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge of the software systems specified in the ‘About the role’ section above 

It is also desirable for you to have: 

  • Experience as a Product Owner or Functional Consultant 
  • Experience of managing SaaS lifecycle, vendor relationships, and subscription-based platforms 
  • Knowledge of data integration and automation tools
