Due to development within the team, we’re looking for a People Adviser to join our Regional People Team. The People Adviser supports Regional People Team, through the provision of customer focussed comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees, and volunteers in line with organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Your role

As a People Adviser, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Providing coaching support, guidance, and employee relations solutions to our managers across the UK and Ireland.
  • Be an expert, operating alongside senior leaders to ensure casework is managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage a varied mix of disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence cases; ensuring advice is in line with organisational policies and procedures as well as a range of HR projects.
  • The ability to develop and maintaining collaborative and productive relationships with a wide variety of individuals, staff and volunteers, and teams.

About you

You will be committed to providing excellent customer service and be able to research, analyse, reason logically and effectively within tight and conflicting timeframes. You will be able to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels and have a proactive approach when handling sensitive or confidential information thoughtfully.

To be considered as a People Adviser you will need:

  • To be tenacious and confident in your HR and legal knowledge
  • Be resilient and be able to hold your own in challenging conversations.
  • Have experience of managing change activities and restructures.
  • Hold a minimum of Level 5 CIPD or relevant experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience in reward practice, including job evaluation systems.

Previous experience of reviewing and updating internal policies in line with external changes in employment legislation will be crucial to this role.
