Your role
The RNLI is looking for a talented and passionate Marketing Manager to manage our supporter stewardship programme and ensuring we always treat our supporters really well. This role is within the Individual Giving team which has undergone significant growth in the last couple of years expanding its fundraising and income generation. The team is instrumental in attracting new donors to support the RNLI, giving them a great supporter experience, and encouraging long term value.
In this role you’ll manage multiple communications to RNLI supporters to keep them connected to the cause. You’ll work in partnership with a number of internal stakeholders and with a wealth of internal specialists to plan, deliver and optimise campaigns.

As a Marketing Manager in the Individual Giving Team, you will be focussed on:
- Developing multi-channel fundraising campaigns with full end to end accountability for the budget, stakeholder engagement, creative development, delivery, and evaluation to meet the project requirements.
- Optimising opportunities to maximise LTV and ROI.
- Interpreting and tracking data, using insight to shape and define fundraising strategies in order to deliver against core objectives.
- Co-ordinating and motivating cross-departmental teams in the delivery of multi-disciplinary campaigns including Gift Aid and printed supporter magazines plus email campaigns.
- Budget management, proactively monitoring current and future variances to plan across both income and expenditure as well as supporting on future forecasting and budget setting.
- Supporting the Marketing Executives within the team, delegating where appropriate and facilitating upskilling as and when required. Working alongside other Marketing Managers to plan and manage resource across the team’s projects and supporting the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Line management responsibility for one Marketing Executive.
- Preparing and providing campaign reports and presentations and ensuring these have accurate, up to date and relevant information.
About you
As an experienced marketeer/fundraiser, you’ll be comfortable delivering best in class supporter experiences and communications, whilst working collaboratively with your peers. To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:
- Experience in delivering multi-channel campaigns focused on retention and direct response
- Experience of collaborative working with digital and creative specialists
- Excellent project management skills including exceptional stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects
- Experience understanding and interpreting data
- And above all you’ll reflect the values of the RNLI by being selfless, courageous, dependable and trustworthy
