Your role

The RNLI is on a strategic transformation journey to enhance our digital estate, streamline information flows, and establish a robust Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

As part of this initiative, we are looking for an experienced Integration Architect to design, define, and govern end‑to‑end integration architecture across RNLI’s technology landscape, ensuring systems and data are seamlessly connected in a scalable, secure, and maintainable way.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Define and evolve the To‑Be Integration Architecture, aligned to RNLI target architecture and platform strategy
  • Own and evolve reusable integration standards, reusable patterns, and frameworks (e.g. API design standards, integration patterns, messaging architectures).
  • Act as the technical authority for integration platforms, ensuring effective utilisation and optimisation.
  • Provide architectural assurance across BAU, programmes, and projects, ensuring integration designs are robust, secure, and reusable.
  • Promote best practice in integration design, including decoupling, reusability, resilience, and performance optimisation.
  • Support the definition and implementation of event-driven and real-time data integration approaches where appropriate.

About you

To be considered as our new Integration Architect you will need:

  • Experience in designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures.
  • Experience with integration platforms (iPaaS), APIs, and messaging/event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud-based integration approaches (e.g. Azure Integration Services).
  • An understanding of data integration concepts, data flows, and system interoperability.
  • Experience of working within an Enterprise Architecture framework.

So, if you’re a technically strong integration specialist with excellent communication skills, able to work across business and technical teams and are comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, translating complex integration concepts into clear, business-relevant solutions – apply today!

The RNLI is committed to safeguarding; protecting a person’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. We expect all employees and volunteers to share this commitment and have a zero-tolerance approach. The suitability of all prospective employees and volunteers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment.
