Thank you for your interest in working with the RNLI face-to-face fundraising team for the 2020 season.

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting measures put in place by the UK Government to control the spread of the virus, the RNLI has decided to pause all face-to-face activity. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of our staff and the public is paramount.

Although our recruitment is also paused at the moment, we would welcome you to express an interest in joining the RNLI face-to-face fundraising team, by clicking 'apply'. Please note this is not an application and if you express an interest, we will contact you when the full application process has re-opened, so you can submit an application if you wish.

RNLI face-to-face fundraising is a job with a difference. You'll inspire support for our lifesavers' amazing work, and you'll also play a vital role in educating the public on how to respect the water.

Join our fundraising teams on the beach, at festivals and at indoor events. We’ll make sure you’re given excellent training so that you feel confident in what you're talking about and comfortable approaching people.

You'll need to be self-motivated and happy working to targets and vibrant, friendly, outgoing personalities are a must. Day to day you’ll be working in pairs to talk with the public, inspiring them to become financial supporters and educating them about coastal safety. You’ll be working with a variety of people in different locations, so every day is varied.

It’s hard work, but an incredibly fulfilling job and is great for enhancing your CV with skills such as teamwork, communication, organisation, advocacy and pitching skills. You’ll earn a competitive wage and, if you’re asked to work away from your local area, accommodation and travel will be provided.

Out of hours you can enjoy being part of a fun and sociable team, making the most of living and working on the coast. In 2018, 150 people chose the best summer job, joining face-to-face fundraising teams across the UK and Ireland.

Whether you’re a first-time fundraiser or already have some experience, if you’re friendly, proactive and confident, we want to hear from you.

This post is subject to clearance of a finance check - satisfactory to the RNLI.
