About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue. We’re looking for a Clinical Trainer to join our Clinical Training Team. The Learning and Organisational Development team supports the RNLI through ensuring our lifeboat crews and lifeguards are ready to help save lives, we train our crews and lifeguards to high levels of medical care which relies on exceptional training being delivered.

 Your role

As a Clinical Trainer, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Planning, organising and delivery of operational Casualty Care training courses that will ensure the safe and effective use of equipment and skills to volunteers and staff
  • Developing training interventions and associated materials to ensure content is matched to best practice
  • This role will involve extensive travel, providing training at lifeboat and lifeguard stations across the South , as well as travelling around the UK and ROI. An RNLI vehicle will be provided

About you

You’ll be a health care professional, ideally with a high level of clinical experience and confidence in delivering Casualty Care in a marine/austere environment. To be considered as the Clinical Trainer you will need:

  • Previous instructor/training responsibility
  • HCPC/NMC Registered professional
  • Prehospital Clinical experience
  • An understanding of the volunteer ethos
  • Experience of course design/planning
  • Willingness to work away from home, including evenings and weekends
  • Based within or close to the South of England

Other organisations may call this role Clinical Tutor.
