About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue. We’re looking for an AX Solutions Specialist with experience in Supply chain, Retail and Finance, to join our Applications Support Team. The Applications Support Team supports the RNLI through maintaining and optimising Business Systems, so they continue to make our processes easier and cost effective.

Your Role

As an AX Solutions Specialist you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

• Will be accountable for the provision of effective and sustainable technical specialist support; including root cause analysis, defect resolution and implementation of plans for improvement
• Support transformational projects by implementing technical project deliverables.
• Will be responsible for making recommendations and supporting the implementation of ideas to increase team performance, mitigate risks and improve processes.
• May directly manage AX Applications Analysts who technically support the wider RNLI user base but will certainly be influencing business areas to get the best out of the AX implementation.
• Will manage the priority, schedule, and administration of all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.

 About You

You’ll be technically brilliant and motivated to share your knowledge, with the people skills to inspire confidence at any level in the organisation. Our ideal candidate will be detail orientated and risk averse, while being positive and solution orientated.

To be considered as the AX Solutions specialist you will need:

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including vast experience using AX 2012 – specifically in Supply chain, Retail and Finance processes.
• Proven significant experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
• Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications
• Experience with building and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking.
