Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue. The RNLI depends on Gifts in Wills to fund two thirds of our services.
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Legacy Team. In this role you’ll lead a large group of legacy marketing and stewardship specialists in a newly formed team. You will be responsible for expanding and enhancing our legacy journeys and experience - ensuring we engage, convert and look after all our legacy supporters. Over the next few years our aim is to evolve our programme to meet their changing expectations, this role will be central to making that a reality. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholder to deliver a combination of communications, touchpoints and experiences that engage and retain our supporters.
Your role
As a Senior Marketing Manager in the Legacy Team, you will be focussed on:
- Ensuring that your newly formed diverse team of marketeers and stewardship specialists are supported, developed, and motivated.
- Planning, development, delivery and evaluation of our marketing and engagement programmes aimed at growing our legacy pledger pipelines
- Working alongside the Senior Marketing Manager (Legacy Acquisition) you will ensure we deliver a seamless programme that attracts, engages and retains legacy leads.
- Collaborating closely with our regionally based Legacy Engagement team to grow our events programmes and our initiatives to embed our legacy messaging throughout our community networks
- Developing medium/long term plans to evolve our programmes and products
- Maintaining excellent and effective relationships with other internal & external stakeholders to manage resources and ensure that campaign plans are integrated with RNLI activity across multiple departments
About you
As an experienced fundraiser you’ll be comfortable developing and overseeing the delivery of fundraising programmes.
To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:
- Excellent communication and people skills to motivate, develop and coach your team and to engage with and influence stakeholders and partners
- Demonstrable experience overseeing supporter retention programmes including experience of stewarding supporters, ideally with experience in legacy fundraising.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion to seize opportunities and overcome challenges to deliver an outstanding donor-centric experience for our supporters.
- Ability to work in an organised and structured manner balancing your time appropriately to meet short-term and longer-term goals.
